Hello Preschool Friends and Families, I know yesterday was raining so it was not a great day to get outside. Hopefully, the weather is better today. Fresh air definitely does a body and mind good!
You all are doing such a fabulous job and I am so proud of you as always! I told Mrs. Gonzalez and Mrs. Paolicelli that you are all doing awesome! They want you to know that they miss you as much as I do! It was so much fun seeing most of you through FaceTime and Google Meet. I plan on setting up a Google meet with our entire class this week. Families, I will send an invite through email. I hope you will all be able to join us. Again families, if you would like me to video with your child just contact me through email stating a few times that will work for a virtual meeting with my friend and you. This blog is to help all of you through this time at home. Please remember these are all just suggestions for you to have in one location if you find, that you need to additional resources for your child. Our key word is Flexible and that is very important when working with young children. Also, children love and learn from repetition so use past links to resources again. Think of when you are playing with your child and they love the activity, he says, "Again!" I will continue to send a morning email each school day with links to this page, my video, along with Mrs. Cosgrove's morning message. Please continue to email me your pictures. I love seeing your faces! Remember that I am only an email away from answering any questions or concerns that may arise. Enjoy your day!
Suggested Activities
Pasta Threading
My friends benefit from threading items. You can do this with beads, yarn, and/or pipe cleaners. If you do not have these items pasta and cereals such as cheerios could work as well. In addition, you may use a colander with pipe cleaners, yarn or spaghetti to work those fingers.
Read, Read, Read!
Your child loves when I read to them in class. I am sure they love when you read to them, too!
Epic - Online Library - Books and Videos
Look at your email for an invite to set up an account for your child. If you have any questions, please contact me. Epic - an online library of books and videos. The site will provide a fabulous source of books while our schools and libraries are closed. The books have various formats read alouds, videos, or an online book that you read to your child. Please browse through all the offerings and give me feedback on the books my friends are enjoying while away from our classroom.
Music/ Movement
Bean Bag - Songs/Games
Use any soft object to pass with your child. This is a simple game that your child may play with siblings as well as parents.
